Gemma Garnett | Community and Sports Participation Advisor
Gemma has worked in community sport for the last 9 years. She started by working for Stockport Council as an Area Outreach Worker, where she delivered sport and play sessions to 4-16 year olds in deprived communities in Stockport and Greater Manchester to help with community cohesion, social inclusion and decreasing anti-social behaviour.
Gemma then relocated to Hull in 2013, and secured a position with the community department of Hull City AFC Football Club; the Tigers Trust work to promote sport and health to the local community of Hull and East Riding, by delivering a range of sports and education
programmes in the local community; to children, youths, people with mental health issues and the unemployed, to deliver positive outcomes. She has a wealth of experience in co-ordinating projects such as the National Citizen Service and now has a role which entails marketing all of the Tigers Trust projects to continue to help thousands of local people engage with sport.
Gemma is keen to work closely with Dream Big Sports and their partners to have a great impact within the community following on from the success she has previously demonstrated in her productive career.
