Wraparound Care – Play Leader
Job Specification
We are currently looking to recruit a motivated, committed and enthusiastic individual on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be passionate about the Dream Big Sports brand and will be responsible for ensuring a fun, active and stimulating experience at our Wraparound Care provision in primary schools.
Your role will include
- Planning, delivering and evaluating a well-structured and progressive Wraparound Care programme.
- Delivering integrative and high-quality sessions and activities.
- Ensuring professionalism in interactions with children, parents, colleagues and schools.
- Safeguarding the well-being of children, following safety procedures and policies.
- Teaching relevant skills and techniques to enhance participants learning.
- Evaluating and assessing sessions, maintaining records and ensuring a positive and inclusive environment.
- Completing relevant risk assessments and logs to ensure safety of participants.
- Taking appropriate steps to identify and overcome barriers to participation.
- Attending professional development where required for the role.
- Being a positive role model, creating a positive and engaging environment which encourages participation in sport and physical activity.
- Being a brand ambassador, demonstrating our company values.
- Assisting with the promotion of other Dream Big Sports products and services.

Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures in place at a Wraparound Care setting.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience delivering sessions at a Wraparound Care setting.
- Experience of using IT software.
Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
- First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Qualification
- Current Enhanced DBS Check
- Relevant Level 2 qualification (preferred)
General
- Driving licence and access to own form of transport.
- This job is subject to receipt of DBS and relevant references.
Training & Development
- Internal CPD (equivalent to 50 hours per annum)
- External training, workshops and resources.
- Regular performance reviews.
Working for Dream Big Sports
- Part-time contract of 15 hours per week.
