Primary Dance Specialist

Job Specification

We are looking to recruit an inspiring, enthusiastic, dedicated and creative individual on a full-time basis. The successful candidate must be passionate about the Dream Big Sports brand and will be responsible for delivering high quality PE and Extra Curricular sessions in line with the National Curriculum as well as our specialist educational programmes on a weekly basis.

Your role will include

  • Delivering high quality high quality dance lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
  • Delivering our specialist educational Creative Learning programmes, including yoga.
  • Mentoring and upskilling teaching staff in the delivery of dance.
  • Delivering high quality performing arts provision at our Holiday Camps during school holidays.
  • Communicating effectively with customers to consistently identify and exceed their expectations.
  • Attending meetings, workshops and training sessions, both internally and externally as required.
  • Completing key administrative tasks such as planning, assessment and participation tracking.
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager on performance.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of the PE NationalCurriculum.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering curriculum based Primary School Dance.
  • Experience of delivering in a classroom environment.
  • Experience of developing or mentoring others in the area of dance and Creative Learning.
  • Experience of Using IT software

Qualifications

Essential
  • 2 x NGB Level 2 Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Safeguarding Qualification
  • Driving licence and access to own form of transport.
Desirable
  • Level 3 Delivery of Dance in PESS (or working towards)
  • Gymnastics Specific Training

General

  • Driving licence and access to own form of transport.
  • This job is subject to receipt of DBS and relevant references.

Working for Dream Big Sports

  • Part Time (Permanent)
  • 22.5 hours per week (3 full days)
  • £21,000 – £22,500 (pro rata).
  • Extensive additional benefits and performance related bonus scheme.
