After raising an incredible £4254.88 in 2023-24, we are delighted to share that our team’s fundraising endeavours will continue with a new charity partner for the next 12 months as we aim to bring together the power of sport & the spirit of giving!
Dream Big Sports is proud to announce that Francis House Children’s Hospice will be our official charity partner for 2024-25, a collaboration that promises to make a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and their families.
At Dream Big Sports, we believe that every child deserves a chance to dream BIG, no matter their circumstances. Together with Francis House Children’s Hospice, we’re committed to creating moments of joy, inspiration, and hope for children, young children and their families.
What This Partnership Means
Our partnership with Francis House Children’s Hospice goes beyond just financial support. It will also bring the power of sports and physical activity to the hospice’s young people, focusing on the three key areas:
- Fundraising Efforts: We are committing to 3 fundraising events over the next 12 months to ensure the hospice can continue its vital work and support even more children and families.
- Raising Awareness: Our team will raise awareness about the wonderful work that the staff at Francis House Children’s Hospice continue to do, as well as the importance of physical activity and the positive impact it can have on young people.
- Community Engagement: We are excited about the opportunity to engage our community in supporting the hospice’s mission. Stay tuned for updates on how you can get involved and make a difference.
Why Francis House Children’s Hospice?
Francis House supports approximately 2,000 people at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end of life care and emotional and bereavement support. They are a lifeline to more than 600 families from across Greater Manchester including Stockport, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Manchester, Salford and Trafford, providing high levels of clinical care to the families of children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
At Dream Big Sports, we’ve always believed in the power of sport and inspiring young people to dream BIG. As with previous years, we wanted to ensure that our charity partner shared our values and commitment to making a difference to the lives of young people and Francis House Children’s Hospice’s dedication to supporting children in our community was recognised by our team, who voted for our chosen charity partner.
Kate Puć fundraising officer at Francis House Children’s Hospice said:
“We are delighted that Francis House has been chosen to be the Charity Partner with Dream Big Sports during 2024/25.
We are really excited to be working with the team and supporting their fundraising activities during the year starting off with a ‘Rainbow Day’ on Friday 1st November. The funds raised during our partnership will help us to bring invaluable comfort, support, and expert care to so many families facing unimaginable challenges. Together they can build life-long memories here, filled with love and laughter.
It is great supporters like Dream Big Sports that make it all possible so we can ensure no family need face their difficult journey alone and we can remain a crucial lifeline for families navigating the toughest times ahead of them. Each year Francis House touches the lives of more than 600 families from across Greater Manchester who have been given the heartbreaking diagnosis that their child has a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.”
